DCRP Names a Pair of Tribute Nights!

Lonnie Wheatley, DODGE CITY, Kan. (June 5, 2013) – With 11 nights of competition remaining on the 2013 Dodge City Raceway Park slate, a pair of nights will carry added meaning as they pay tribute.

The Friday night, July 26, event that features URSS Sprint Cars along with IMCA Modifieds, United Wireless IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars will be a special Fire & Safety/EMS Appreciation Night, offering free admission to all Fire & Safety and EMS employees to the night’s events.

Then, to wrap up the season on Saturday night, September 28, the Season Championship event that includes URSS Sprint Cars along with the track’s five title chase divisions of IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Thunder Cars and Hornets has been renamed the Jerry Soderberg Championship Memorial Event in honor of the racer, engine builder and sponsor that passed away earlier in the year.

Next up at Dodge City Raceway Park is Round Five of championship chase action next Saturday, June 15, featuring the IMCA Modifieds, United Wireless IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Thunder Cars and Hornets.

Eighteen overall nights of action at Dodge City Raceway Park over the course of 2013 includes several special events including the TORC Off Road Trucks in April, the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on July 5-6, a pair of $1,200-to-win IMCA Modified tilts in July along with USAC Sprint Cars on August 23-24 and four rounds of URSS Sprint Car competition along the way.
