Randy Wheeler Memorial set for this Saturday night

Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 12th, 2013) – This Saturday night at the Creek County Speedway we will honor a man that has helped so much with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) and the Creek County Speedway.

Back on Saturday night April 20, Randy Wheeler was involved in a freak four wheeler accident after the nights racing action. This Saturday night the Wheeler family will be scattering some of Randy’s remains around the quick quarter.

Josh Jefferies continues to open up his points lead over second place Jimmy Owen in the fast and furious Factory Stock division. Jefferies leads Owens by 133 markers (1595-1462). Bobby Wolfe currently sits in the third spot, with Justin Green and Tommy Romine round out the top 5.

Brett “The Jet” Wilson leads the point standings in the mighty Modified division with a 30 point lead over second place Ho Dean (1410-1380). Mrs. Dena Wilson rounds out the podium in the third spot. Shawn Rowell and Anthony Neel round out the top 5 in Modified point standings.

In the Champ Sprint division, Brent Bates leads second place runner Ricky York by 197 markers (1406-1209). In his first year in a Champ Sprint, Christian York sits in the third spot. Jackie York and Robby Sherrell round out the top 5 drivers in Champ Sprint point standings.

Daniel Ray Denton is in the top spot in Mini Stock points leading second place Michael Rodman who is one of our Front Wheel Drive racers by 266 points (1354-1088). Dee Denton rounds out the podium in Mini Stock points. Dearl Harrison and Sean Cusac rounds out the top 5.

Jeff Record continues to lead the points battle in the down and dirty Dwarf Car division over second place Kevin Brewer (1444-1425). David Cummins sits in the third spot with last week’s feature winner Larry Pense and Rick Quinn rounding out the top 5.

Load up the kids, call your mother in law and bring them all out to “The Creek” this Saturday night for the fastest fun around!

Gates open at 4:30; Hotlaps at 6:30; and the green flag flies at 7:00!

Tickets just $10 for adults, children 10-14 $6 and kid 10 and under are always FREE! Pit Pass $30.

Creek County Speedway is a fast quarter mile oval located outside Sapulpa, Oklahoma on historic Route 66. CCS has been bringing high octane excitement to race fans since 1986.
