BCR has been very busy this off season preparing for a run at the National ASCS tour for the upcoming 2025 season with plans of filling in the schedule with events from other regional series on the ASCS off weeks! The team is on their way south to Florida and excited to unveil their Living Like Outlaws youth program one off wrap for the Florida swing. Living Like Outlaws is a youth developmental program that Brogan participates in that helps him with video and media skills as well as helps him to network in the world of racing. The program was founded by Wes Irwin and is managed and operated by a small group of volunteers who donate their time to the program and with the help of Octane Ink, a special one off wrap was designed for the trip south.
In addition to stockpiling the much-needed equipment for such a run the team has also added new team members. New team members include Rod Lindquist who has been brought on as team manager and Jordon Shoenrock who is also Brogans older brother, has been brought on as a day-to-day crew member.
Rod comes to BCR via our biggest supporter/mentor/friend Brian Kern. Rod brings with him 40+ years' experience in the racing community as a team owner at a national level, series promotor and extensive network of businesses that support up and coming talent. In Brogans words: "Rod has brought sponsorship connections to our team that we would have never made on our own, and more importantly the leadership skills and the experience of owning and running teams and series at a national level that Rod brings is absolutely invaluable" Rod says, "I am extremely excited to be on board and do anything I can to help further his career. I have watched his talents progress and look forward to him running for the Rookie of the Year honors in the ASCS this year!"
Jordon comes to BCR through birth (haha) but most recently, he spent the last year honing his skills mentoring under Shane Bowers at Jason Meyers Racing. Jordon has been road tested and will wear many hats within the BCR organization. RV driver, head of maintenance, tire guy...he will do anything that is asked to help out. Jordon will work closely with Cody and Brogan to make sure the car is in race ready condition and help to educate Brogan on the important components and how they affect the handling of the car on the track. "I am super excited to work with my family and brother and achieving a goal that he and I set together 3 years ago to race full time on the road together. I'm looking forward to helping the team navigate the day-to-day challenge of living on the road with a nationally traveling race team" says Jordon. Brogans thoughts on traveling the country with his older brother: "I feel super blessed to travel the country with my brother and do what we are both so passionate about. I'm looking forward to learning everything that he has learned from the professional teams that he was worked with".
Crew chief and Uncle Cody has also been busy this off-season gathering knowledge and helping to organize the team for the 2025 season. Cody's thoughts on the upcoming season: "I'm looking forward to the challenge that this will bring as well as the rewards of having a family owned and operated team performing at a national level. Our family has literally built this team from scratch over the last 3 years and to be able to do what we are doing is extremely rewarding!" Grandpa Chuck will continue to serve as chief consultant and motor man for the team but prefers a much more limited travel schedule as he puts it, "It's hard to travel with the team because once they take off, I never know when or if they will be back to home base so it's just easier to coach and help from home!"
BCR's season will kick off next weekend at Volusia Speedway Park with the running of the 3 day DIRTcar nationals. From there the team heads to Southern Speedway in Milton, FL for a pair of weekend events in mid-February. Stay tuned for more updates from the road and updates to the schedule as the season unfolds.
