For those of you who do not know, Brent's Dad and Crew Chief, Ray, was injured at the racetrack last weekend as a spectator. So putting the new motor together has been a slow process. We would like to thank all the friends and Grant Springer Engines who have helped in getting the motor together so Brent can race Speedweek. We tried real hard to make it to today's race, but we ran out of time. Couldn't get pushrods or valve seals till today. Couldn't finish putting the heads together till today, and there were no valve seals anywhere in town yesterday. This is a new block we haven't had before and there was a lot of putting together, tearing down, and putting back together. This is hard for Brent and the team as Brent is concentrating on the ASCS Northwest Points this season. However we are confident that we will make it to tomorrows race at Gray's Harbor Raceway, and look forward to completing the rest of Speedweek.
