Strong Runs with the Outlaws

Bristol, WI – July 6, 2013. Bill and the B2 Motorsports team had a triple-header last weekend with the World of Outlaws. Friday night the team headed south to the LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, IL. Bill would qualify the 17B sprinter in the 14th position setting him up with a 1st place starting position in his heat race. Steve Kinser would get the jump on Bill, but Bill would follow the “King” the distance to finish in the 2nd position sending him into his first dash of the season. Bill would line up in the 8th starting position in the dash and finish in the 9th position. Lining up in the 9th position in the feature, Bill would make a charge forward in the caution filled event and end his night in the 5th position.

The team headed to Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, WI on Saturday night. Bill would qualify in the 18th position after losing the brake caliper during his qualifying laps. The team would hustle to change the rear-end in the car due to the bolts being unable to be removed. Lining up 5th place starting position, Bill got a jump on the front four cars, but would get in the back of one breaking the steering arm sending the 17B back pitside for repairs and to the B-main. Bill would line up in the 2nd starting position of the B-main and quickly make his way into the lead, where he would finish and transfer into the feature. Lining up in the 18th starting position of the feature, Bill methodically raced his way forward to finish in the 11th position.

The team wrapped up their weekend at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI on Sunday. Bill would qualify the 5th quickest setting him up with a 3rd place starting position in his heat race. At the end of the heat race Bill would finish in the 4th position sending him to his second dash of the weekend. Starting 2nd in the dash, Joey Saldana would make his way past Bill on the start and Bill would maintain 3rd for the finish to line him up for a 3rd place starting position in the feature. The feature was once again a caution filled event with Bill slipping back on the restarts to the 8th position, but with a restart with six laps remaining, Bill made his way by two competitors to finish in the 6th position for another top ten finish with the World of Outlaws.
