Belleville, IL. (4/9/25) The POWRi StockMod division has updated the National Championship qualification standards for the 2025 racing season. In a continued effort to support grassroots racers and encourage broader participation across the Pure Stock and Hornet classes, POWRi will now calculate National Championship standings based on a driver’s best 15 finishes throughout the season.
This adjustment lowers the threshold from previous requirements, providing a more accessible and flexible path for competitors to chase national recognition. By focusing on the driver’s top 15 events, POWRi aims to level the playing field and reward consistent performance without requiring an extensive travel schedule.
“We’re always looking for ways to better serve our racers and their families,” said POWRi StockMod Director Jeff Albright. Going on to include, “This change reflects our commitment to growing the Pure Stock and Hornet divisions by making it easier for dedicated local racers to be part of the national conversation.”
The revised system encourages participation across a wide range of local tracks while ensuring that drivers with limited schedules still have the opportunity to compete for season-long honors. POWRi officials believe this change will not only increase car counts at weekly venues but also build stronger communities within both divisions.
