Elma, WA -
Brayden Brookshire from Vancouver Wa, led the IMCA Northern SportMod Main from the green flag and was able to hold off Rainier Oregon’s Kody Greer and Oakville Washington’s Payton Harding to pick up his first win in his first start of the year. Brookshire fended off Greer on two restarts and shows the 17yr old senior will be someone to contend with in 2 weeks for the SportMod clash. Brookshire also picked up the heat race win earlier in the night.
Xan Miller received her champions jacket early in the night and took over the points lead in the 360 Limited Sprints by winning on Saturday night at Grays Harbor Raceway.
The Super Stocks made their 2025 debut and 2024 champion Austin Kerrigan had a great start holding off Tom Hecker early until a caution. On the restart Scott Fritts would get into second and Shane Kerrigan would get into 3rd and then was able to get by Fritts in a few laps and pace his son until Jayson Wolcott would spin to bring out the caution. On the restart Fritts would get by Shane for second and they would have a spirited battle until Fritts would lose traction and spin into the infield and later bring out the caution. This would lead to a heck of a Kerrigan father and son battle for a few laps when Shane would get by his son and then Austin would spin trying to battle back. Shane would lead the final 8 laps to pick up the opening night win followed by Jayson Wolcott, Tom Hecker, Austin Kerrigan, Scott Fritts and Steve Vonheeder. Tom Hecker would win the heat race and all the competitors showed they are ready to give the Kerrigans a run for the championship this year.
In the Hornets Nick Miles would lead the first 3 laps with Landon Pruett in hot pursuit and as soon as Landon would get to the lead the caution came out. On the restart Landon would be able to take the lead and lead the last 12 laps for the win, but it was not easy as Cory Sweatman in the always fast 1c was able to stay right with him but not able to get by and finished second. Reuben Pruett would continue his hot start and finish 3rd followed by Nick Miles and Mike Harritt. The heat race wins went to Landon Pruett, Mike Harritt, Lucas Hayes, and Nick Sheats and the B Main winners were Reuben Pruett, and Brandon Tyler.
