Week 5 of the “Race for the Championship” continues on this week

Terry Mattox - SAPULPA, Okla. (August 6th, 2013) - Week #5 of the “Race for the Championship” continues on this Saturday night at Creek County Speedway.

Brent Bates continues to lead the Champ Sprint division with a 389 points over runner up Ricky York. Sitting in the third spot in points is Christian York sitting 42 markers behind Ricky. Jackie York currently resides in the fourth spot 34 points behind Christian. Rounding out the top 5 is Robby Sherrell 87 points behind Jackie.

The points battle in the “Mighty” Modified division continues to heat up each and every week. Brett “The Jet” Wilson currently leads the points chart with a slim 16 point lead over second place Ho Dean. Sitting 35 points behind Dean is Mrs. Dena Wilson holding down the third spot. Shawn Rowell, and Anthony Neel round out the top 5.

Jeff Record currently sits on top of the podium in the “Down and Dirty” Dwarf Car division points with an 82 point lead over Kevin Brewer. In the third spot is last week’s feature winner Larry Pense sitting 125 points behind Brewer. David Cummins sits in the fourth spot 58 points behind Pense. Kent Kantor rounds out the top 5.

In the “Fast and Furious” Factory Stock division Josh Jefferies leads second place Jimmy Owen by 196 points in the “Race for the Championship”. Bobby Wolfe resides in the third spot 184 points behind Owen. Toby Cooper and Dann Gray round out the top 5.

Daniel Ray Denton is unstoppable in the “Survival of the Fittest” Mini Stock division. Denton is the only driver in all 5 divisions to win all 4 of the past “Race for the Championship” feature events. Daniel Ray leads his cousin Dee Denton by 311 markers. Front Wheel Driver Michael Rodman sits in the third spot 163 points behind Dee. Jimmy Masterson is in the fourth spot 144 points behind Rodman, and rounding out the top 5 is Dearl Harrision.

Plus all kids 14 and under have a chance to win a bicycle at the end of the night! Each kid 14 and under through the gate will get a ticket for the chance to win. Also, visit the Freezy Pop stand for more chances to win.

Load up the kids, call your mother in law and bring them all out to “The Creek” this Saturday night for the fastest fun around!

Gates open at 4:30; Hotlaps at 6:30; and the green flag flies at 7:00!

Tickets just $10 for Adults, Kids 10-14 $6 and children under 10 are always FREE! Pit Passes $30.
