Franklin, PA – Race fans, mark your calendars and get ready for the wildest weekend of the summer as Tri-City Raceway Park rolls out a Triple Down Weekend like no other from Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 3. From high-stakes dirt track racing to glow-in-the-dark mayhem and fireworks in the sky, there’s something for everyone – and you won’t want to miss a minute.
The action kicks off Friday night with our popular Six Pack Racing program as the season points battles reach their boiling point. Every lap counts with just a few weeks left, and tensions are high across all divisions. In the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply 410 Sprint Cars, Ricky Peterson Jr. leads with two wins, but Jeremy Weaver – fresh off the biggest victory of his career – is just 19 points back. Brandon Matus is quietly staying in the hunt, ready to strike if the front two falter. The Flea Flicker Super Late Models feature a razor-thin gap between Darrell Bossard and Josh Ferry, separated by just five points. Over in the Shawgo Real Estate Pro Stocks, Mike Miller is fresh off win number two and leads Jake Whitling by 22, with Pat Fielding just 29 out of first. Blaze Myers has turned the Complete Car Care Center RUSH Sprints into his playground with six wins this season, but he can’t afford to ease up – Zach Morrow, the all-time winningest driver at Tri-City, is just 16 points back. The Clarion County Community Bank RUSH Stock Cars feature another tight battle with Raidden Wilson leading, but Cameron Kramer is only 12 points behind, and William Baker sits just 24 back. The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds make their third appearance of the year, with Chas Wolbert looking to stay perfect in the C3 after winning both of his previous races. Note: the 21st Century Energy Group Big Block Modifieds are off this week, but Brad Rapp continues to lead the division by 42 points.
Friday’s racing begins at 7:00 p.m., with two makeup features starting at 6:30. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students, military, and seniors, and kids 10 and under get in free. Pit passes are $35.
Then on Saturday, August 2nd, Tri-City flips the script with an electrifying night of racing unlike anything you’ve seen before. The D6 Ultimate Quad Series rolls in with quad practice from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the real action begins after dark. Fans will witness the first-ever Pro ATV race under the lights, with a massive $12,500 payout up for grabs. And as if that weren’t wild enough, we’re lighting up the night with a glow-in-the-dark circle track race featuring mini stocks and pro quads. This isn’t just racing—it’s a full-blown spectacle. From blacklight paint to glowing tires and underglow kits, it’s going to be wild, loud, and unforgettable. Gates open at 6 p.m., with an autograph session from 7 to 8:15 p.m., followed by racing under the lights starting at 8:45. And just to crank things up even more, fireworks will be lighting up the sky all night long.
Please note that Saturday is a special event—regular pit, grandstand, or VIP passes will not be accepted. Everyone must purchase a separate event ticket. Grandstand tickets are $30 and pit passes are $35.
Then on Sunday, August 3rd, we close the weekend with the high-octane D6 Quad EXTRAVAGANZA starting at 10 a.m. The stakes are high with $7,800 in payouts for amateur classes, plus the chance to claim one of our legendary six-pound championship belts—the most talked-about trophy on the circuit. While there won’t be circle track racing on Sunday, the quad racing action will be wall-to-wall from the green flag to the final checkers.
Want the best value? Grab a 3-day weekend pass for just $60—it covers all the action Friday through Sunday, includes a free event t-shirt, and comes with free camping. That’s a $10 savings and the best way to enjoy the full Tri-City experience. Tickets will be available at the gate, but prices will be higher and shirts will be limited, so we recommend grabbing them online ahead of time.
From tight points battles and championship drama to glow-in-the-dark chaos, fireworks, and full-throttle quad racing, Triple Down Weekend is shaping up to be one of the most exciting events Tri-City Raceway Park has ever hosted. Don’t miss it—this is where racing, fun, and summer collide in one unforgettable weekend.
