With only six more weeks in the season, it is coming down to who can get in the growler with a win and maybe get a chance at dethroning the points leader in the Sabil & Sons Inc. DIRTcar Sportsman. This week it would be Robert Tucker punching his ticket into the growler with his first win of the season. Tucker worked the outside to get the lead and survive a couple of late race cautions beating out Ashton Pierson who came home in second and Matt Lashua who came home in third. Jeremy Huntoon and Jeff Huntington rounded out the top five. Unless a major mulligan happens for Jason Gray he is poised to win his sixth consecutive championship, leaving Robert Tucker Todd Buckwold and Max Dolliver doing battle for the runner up position with only fifteen points separating them.
For the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes the throne is far from determined and the top four hope for each other to have a mulligan night for them to capitalize on. The growler added another list to its competitors with the Ageless Wonder Bob Shepard having his best run of the season. Shepard held of Nipper Alsup and Michael Danforth Jr for the win. AJ Pushee and Rob Williams completed the top five. First to fourth is only separated by fourteen points, setting up some exciting competition for the remainder of the season.
Shawn King scores his third feature win in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited beating out Travis Shinn who comes home in second and Josh Morgan in his fourth outing taking home the final victory lane spot. Teegan Tabor and Bryan King rounded out the top five. King’s struggles put Shinn back on top by six points in this points battle, keeping it close for the champ and runner up.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets struggled to get their race started and gave us the first inkling to a full moon affecting the nights events. After a break they came back and were able to conclude their feature with Brandon Piastka scoring his first win of the season. Chris Murray was able to pad his points lead over Will Hull a bit more with his second-place finish. Nick Fretto, in only his third appearance at the Ridge, joined the pair in victory lane finishing third. Daniel Piastka and Will Hull rounded out the top five. Murray sits on top the points battle at twenty-four over Hull, with Hull six points ahead of Brandon Piastka.
It didn’t take long for Ryan Christian to show his dominance in the High-Country Dispensaries Late Models. Christian got the lead early and dusted the field for the win. Richie Simmons, the entertainment of the class, comes home in second with Scott Heath taking third. Kelly Miller Sr and Tim Higgins completed the top five. Miller sits on top of the leader board by fifteen points over Scott Heath, who is ahead of Tim Higgins by fourteen points.
The points battle for the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks is going to be another edge of your seat weekly event with Tyler Fellows only five points ahead of John Fields who is only ahead of Mike McClay by one. Fields makes the leap to second in points with his feature win Jon Porter coming home in second and Keith Mansur third. Mike McClay and Matt Pike rounded out the top.
It looks like the final week for the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville Ridge Runners is what will determine the champ as Kevin LaForest with his win beating out Zach Audet is five points ahead of Audet for the title. Katie Burroughs needs to keep ahead of Tim Dave to come home with the third-place bear on championships night. For victory lane this week Ryan Sayers would join LaForest an Audet in third. Taylor Sayers and Kyle Morris completed the top five.
