Tri-City Raceway Park Set to Crown Champions This Friday, August 15 — With Legends Returning and Title Fights Hotter Than the August Sun
Franklin, PA – August 12, 2025 — The summer heat isn't the only thing reaching its boiling point — the championship battles at Tri-City Raceway Park are red-hot and ready to explode this Friday, August 15, as the final points night of the 2025 season takes center stage. With temperatures soaring and pressure rising, there's no better way to cap off a thrilling season than by bringing back racing legends to witness new champions rise where they once ruled. Tri-City will proudly welcome former drivers and track champions to be honored during the evening — a fitting tribute as a new era of racing history is written in the dirt.
All season long, fans have been treated to door-to-door duels, underdog surges, and late-race drama. Now, it all comes down to one night, one race, and in several divisions, possibly one lap. The most electrifying battle of the night may belong to the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply 410 Sprint Cars, where just 41 points separate the top four drivers. Jeremy Weaver holds the lead, but Brandon Matus is breathing down his neck, trailing by just 12 markers. Bob Felmlee and Ricky Peterson Jr. are still in striking distance, and with the intensity these drivers have brought all year, this title fight could turn into a high-speed chess match under the lights.
The heat cranks up even higher in the Flea Flickers Super Late Models, where the battle between Darrell Bossard and Josh Ferry has raged all season and now comes down to a single point. That’s right — one position on the track could decide the championship. These two have been trading paint all summer, so it’s only fitting that the finale will be a showdown worthy of the spotlight. Not to be outdone, the Shawgo Real Estate Pro Stocks are putting on their own thriller, with Mike Miller leading Jake Whitling by just six points and Pat Fielding only a single marker behind him. It’s a three-man fight for a first-time title, and it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top once the dust settles.
While the title picture is a bit clearer in other divisions, don’t expect the racing to be any less intense. In the 21st Century Energy Group Big Block Modifieds, Brad Rapp holds a 43-point edge over Mike Kinney, but with two features on tap — including a makeup from July 18 — that gap could close in a hurry if things go sideways. The Complete Car Care Center RUSH Sprint Cars have been dominated by Blaze Myers, who’s looking to seal his title run with his eighth win of the season. Zach Morrow is still mathematically alive, but it would take something wild to deny Myers the crown he’s chased all year. In the Clarion County Community Bank RUSH Stock Cars, Raidden Wilson leads Will Baker by 45 points. While the car count has been light, the battles have been fierce — and Wilson will be looking for a calm, consistent night to lock down his first championship.
Off the track, fans will enjoy a special celebration as Tri-City honors the legends who helped build the legacy of this historic venue. From the old guard to the new wave, this is a night where generations of racing come together in one unforgettable evening. With high stakes, hot tempers, and the summer heat to match, this is a finale you don’t want to miss.
Racing starts early this Friday with the Big Block Modifieds July 18 makeup feature hitting the clay at 6:30 PM. Gates open at 4:00 PM, so arrive early, grab a cold drink, and get ready to witness history. The champions of tomorrow are about to be crowned — and the legends of yesterday will be there to see it all.
The Points race at Tri City is tightly contested in each of the six divisions.

THE MARSH HEATING & COOLING WINNER CHALLENGE
The race to the top of the Marsh Heating & Cooling Heat Race Winner Challenge standings is far from settled — and now there's a tie for first.
So far this season, 26 drivers have managed to grab multiple heat race wins, keeping things exciting and unpredictable. There's a log jam for first and time is winding down on the season and the overall winner is far from decided with a handful of competitors tied for first with five wins. Leading the charge right now, Logan McCandless, Blaze Myers, Jeremy Weaver, Matt Farnham and Raidden Wislon. Gale Ruth Jr., Zach Morrow, Brad Rapp and Erick Rudolph each sitting with four checkered flags to their names.
Hot on their heels are Rex King Jr., Zach Wilson, Cameron Kramer and Russ Coyne all boasting three heat wins apiece — and looking hungry for more. It’s a tight group, and with so many fast cars in the field, anything can happen as the season continues.
There are also 13 drivers who’ve picked up two wins so far, and an impressive 33 others who’ve made their way to heat race victory lane at least once — talk about depth in the field!
With so much talent spread across the board and plenty of racing still ahead, the Marsh Heating & Cooling Heat Race Winner Challenge is shaping up to right down to the final night of the season.
