The 2025 racing season at the Can Am Speedway in Lafargeville New York is literally full speed ahead and the finish line is in sight with drivers chasing track titles and first wins of the year in all five classes. Last week was exciting as ever, heading into First Responders night this coming Friday.

Last week Ryan Bartlett notched an emotional second win of the season taking the 25 lap Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTcar 358 Modified feature event. Bartlett out ran Lance Willix and four time defending track champion Tim Fuller for the win, his 7th career triumph at the Nasty Track of the North.

Jessica Power absolutely dominated the 20 lap Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTcar Sportsman feature on Friday night. Power ended a six year winless drought at the speedway, which dated back to August 2nd of 2019, scoring her 6th career Can Am win. Tyler Stevenson scored a runner up finish followed by Keegan Nier. Power would go on to win in dominant fashion at Brockville the very next evening.

Bruno Richard has had a great season in the Panther Frameworx Crate Sprint cars in 2025 and kept the roll going with his third win of the year. Richard became just the second driver to win three times, joining Andrew Hennessy, Friday nights runner up, with three time track champion Josh Verne Jr. third. Verne also had a successful weekend winning at Brockville Saturday night.

Corey Valade has been on a roll in the Sundance Leisure Thundercars this year. Valade took the lead early and backed up his Monday night win, with his 6th win of the year on Friday night in the 15 lap event. Tony Frezzo crossed in second with Jared Gilson third.

All we can say at the end of the 15 lap Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman feature last Friday night is, Finally! Brianna Murtaugh scored her first ever Can Am victory after a record 5 runner up finishes this year. Murtaugh fended off three time winner Mason Rogers for the victory on a late restart with veteran Mike Durham third.
