Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Aug. 18, 2025) – Trey Starks is closing in on another track championship at Skagit Speedway.
Starks will return to the dirt oval in Alger, Wash., this Saturday for the penultimate 360ci winged sprint car points night with a 77-point lead in the championship standings.
“There’s not a whole lot left,” he said. “It closes up pretty quickly when you get to this time of the year.
“We’ve been pretty solid all year. Our program has been rock solid there for the past couple of years and we really haven’t changed much. I think we have considerably more laps at Skagit in a 360 so that helps as well, but our 410 program is close.”
Starks has won four features and captured seven top fives and eight top 10s in nine 360 races at Skagit Speedway this season.
“We feel good with where we are at,” he said. “We’d love some more laps in the 410 before the High Limit event the following weekend, but it is what it is. If we can have similar speed to what we did last year I think we’ll be okay.
“This weekend for us is more laps before the High Limit event. Being in a 360 we can gather some notes on the track surface, which has been ever-changing this year. Being able to get a better read on that will be important as we haven’t been on the track in a couple of weeks.”
