(LaSalle, IL, Saturday, August 23, 2025)--Tyler Kuxhouse of Antioch, IL ended up across the finish line first by less than 4-tenths of a second to score the 20-lap AutoMeter powered by Gandrud Performance Wisconsin WingLESS Sprints feature win. The win came as part of the 8th Annual Bill Waite Jr. Memorial, which marked IRA's first return to LaSalle Speedway since 2018
"We're good friends, but I wanted this one really bad," said Kuxhouse referring to his going back and forth with second place finisher Zach Raidart of Gurnee, IL. "I saw the lapped cars coming and was hoping we could keep the momentum up. It worked. This is an awesome win."
Raidart and Kuxhouse had been battling back and forth with the two exchanging the lead officially once, but going side by side several times in the closing laps. It marked Kuxhouse second Wisconsin WingLESS feature win of the season, with his other one coming July 12 at Wilmot Raceway.
Rusty Egan of Round Lake Beach, IL came across third. Silver Lake's Ralph Johnson was fourth. Tim Cox of Park City, IL took fifth.
Dennis Spitz of Lewisburg, KY earned the Behling Race Equipment Hard Charger honor moving up five spots finishing ninth after starting 14th.
Kuxhouse scored the win in the Fox Lake Harbor presents All Star Performance 1st Heat. Adam Taylor of Wheatfield, IN scored the win in the Game Day Men's Health presents Rod End Supply 2nd Heat. Raidart picked up Body Craft fast qualifying honors with a :13.400 seconds clocking.
Josh Davidson of Racine and Taylor both got upside down in separate incidents on different parts of the track at the halfway point of the feature brining out the red flag. Both were eliminated for the night.
Next up for the WingLESS is a doubleheader weekend starting at their original home track of Wilmot Raceway on Saturday, August 30 for a series point show and the season championship for track points. Wilmot's IMCA Modifieds and Bandit 4-Cylinder Stock Cars conclude their track points as well. Wilmot 604 Winged Sprints and Street Stocks complete the program.
On Sunday, August 31 the WingLESS head to The Hill Raceway at Sturgeon Bay along with the Bumper to Bumper IRA 410 Sprint Cars. Sports Mods round out the card.
