Inside Line Promotions – NORFOLK, Neb. (Aug. 25, 2025) – Tim Estenson produced a top-five result during his first sprint car start of the season.
The Tim Estenson Motorsports driver, who has been serving as a crew member on the team this year, capitalized on a rare night when the team pulled out two race cars last Saturday at Off Road Speedway during a Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars show.
“Honestly, I went out for hot laps and once I got on the gas I felt really good,” he said. “I thought, ‘Now that’s over so let’s see about getting bunched up with guys around you.’ I was alright in the heat. I started behind Jack (Dover) and was still knocking off the rust. I spun the tires and didn’t capitalize on the start. Everybody got in line and I ended up finishing where I started. I felt pretty comfortable toward the end of the heat race though.”
Estenson finished fourth in the heat race. He lined up on the outside of the fourth row for the main event.
“We dropped back a little bit early and it got singled out,” he said. “We had a caution and I was able to pick off some positions to climb up to fifth. The track rubbered up halfway through the race. At that point we were in line and you weren’t going to pass unless somebody messed up in front of you.”
Estenson ended with a fifth-place finish.
“The goal was to shake it down and see how fast or competitive we’d be,” he said. “I thought it went well. If the track didn’t rubber up I think we could have picked off more, but I’ll take what we got. Overall, we had some fun and moved forward.”
