Dayne Kingshott and Krikke Motorsport were the toast of the town at Burswood on Swan last night.
Kingshott receive a $25,000 cheque for being crowned the 2024-25 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series champion - fittingly the $25k cheque was presented on the 25th year of the series run here in Western Australia by the Sprintcar Entrants Group.
He has gone back to back in the championship, winning it this year from former two-time series champion Callum Williamson and Taylor Milling.
Kingshott paid tribute to KMS, headed by Ryan Krikke and reflected on their achievements of the past season - which was without question, the most competitive sprintcar season in WA.
An impressive 57 drivers contested at least one round of the series - and when you realise there are 20 drivers who came from the United States, New Zealand or interstate, it is easy to realise the popularity of the series.
Krikke collected a couple of cool awards - those being the Best Presented Car and the Best Presented Crew.
And crew chief Matt Cochrane received the inaugural Jason Krikke Crew Chief of the Year award - an award put in place by Sean Carren of Goldstar Transport (more to come on that soon).
Collectively the team claimed four wins, five 2nds, three 3rds and six 5ths.
Kingshott and the team will now set their sights on aiming for a third championship when the series starts in October.
Congratulations once again to Dayne Kingshott and Krikke Motorsport.
