Danley Rides the Rim to Thayer County Win

The Malvern Bank 360 Sprint Cars invaded the Thayer County Speedway Sunday night for the Spring Creek Showdown.
Cole Vanderheiden of Papillion, NE was the @Deatherage Opticians Quick Time in Hotlaps. Vanderheiden would win Heat 1 while Joey Danley of Lincoln, NE would win Heat 2.
Points Leader Chase Brown would elect to start 6th and run the Lucky 6 Challenge paying $4,200 courtesy of Electrical Systems Inc. That decision put the Rookie of the Year Points Leader Dominic White of Plainview, NE on the pole.
White would take the lead on the opening lap and would control things early. Chase Brown would tag the turn 4 wall 2 laps in causing the right front tire to slowly go flat bringing out a caution with 12 laps left. Brown would get the tire changed and tag the rear of the field. On the next restart Danley would get the jump on White taking the lead in 1 and 2 after a slide job. The track would become top dominant and finish single file from there. Danley would grab his 2nd win of the season with the series, White would claim 2nd, Vanderheiden 3rd, John Klabunde of Ft. Calhoun, NE 4th, and Evan Semerad of Malcom, NE 5th.
The series wraps up the season Saturday, September 6th at Shelby County Speedway Harlan, Iowa and Eagle Raceway Sunday, September 7th.
