A special thank you to life member Brendan Sexton for stepping in as Secretary last season while we hosted the Australian Speedcar Championship. His ongoing contribution as a general committee member will be greatly appreciated. Donna Murphy will now transition to the vacated Secretary role, while Alison Dwyer will back-fill the Treasurer's position. All other positions remain unchanged, ensuring another stable year ahead.

Reflecting on season 2024/25:

The past season delivered several standout achievements for the club and its members:

• SA Speedcars held a display at the Adelaide 500 on behalf of Speedcars Australia, distributing over 1,500 stickers and 1,000 posters to fans.

• Thanks to the generosity of sponsors Supreme Sticker Co. and Pickos Photos, we did a first in the sport and produced custom corflute signs of every Australian Speedcar Championship entrant's car, which became a viral hit and crowd favourite, driving further engagement (and orders!).

• All entrants at the Australian Championship also received an ‘Everyone Wins’ gift bag, with all items donated by our club sponsor The Speedway Shop including Lucas Oil products, cable ties, wash products, title merch, a bottle of South Aussie wine, and more.

• The club’s Facebook page remains our primary news source over Insta, TikTok, and YouTube, but overall content reached new highs, including event reels reaching over 30,000 views on Facebook and one team reel we shared hit an amazing 285,000 views.

• Over 150 sponsor and event hats and 400 light-up foam sticks were handed out to kids at the Australian Speedcar Championship and Australasian 50 Lapper, donated by the Hardwyer Murphy Motorsport team. This same team also had a standout year, winning both the $20k winners cheque at the 50 Lapper (S6e Kaleb Currie) and the PSW Series Championship (S6 Jack McCarthy)—showcasing the increasing strength of our local teams.

Looking ahead, our 90th anniversary year will focus on:

• Supporting our rookie racers starting up in the new season. Can't wait!

• Celebrating SA Speedcars’ history, including introducing our inaugural Hall of Fame inductees and trophy cabinet.

• Introducing Speedcars to the NAPA Speedway at the Adelaide Grand Final invitational event in November, thanks to the support of Speedcars Australia INC. and the SA Motor Sport Board.

• Driving even better prize money and product giveaways for our Blackjack series rounds at Murray Bridge Speedway and all our blue ribbon events; including continued tow money for interstaters and recognising and rewarding our local talent.

• Expanding our digital reach, including producing more real-time content.

• Highlighting major events and boosting crowd promotions to attract new members, teams, and of course, spectators.

A MASSIVE thank you to our amazing sponsors at the club, Blackjack Series, and 50 Lapper level over the last season, including The Speedway Shop, Jetcor, Pickos Photos, Lucas Oil, Supreme Sticker Co., The Work Area Podcast, KT Concrete & Masonry, Salute SA, INOX, JTR Race Trailers, Speedcars Australia, KC Carbon, Hour of Power, and American Racer – plus all our brilliant lap sponsors! Your support fuels our division, our racers, and our future.

Our club's strength comes from our members, and though we are small, our combined effort makes everything possible. And so, to every competitor, member, volunteer, and supporter of the division this season and every season before it – this 90th SA Speedcar racing birthday year is for you!
