It was a tough weekend through the upper-Midwest for Cloverdale, Ohio's Abby Hohlbein and her Abby Hohlbein Racing team, but despite a disappointing two-day outing that resulted in back-to-back "DNF" or "DNS" outcomes, there were plenty of shining moments, one of which a podium battle at Sycamore Speedway in Sycamore, Illinois, on Saturday, August 30. In fact, Hohlbein led half of the Badger Midget main event, eventually forced to exit "on the hook" after nowhere-to-go contact left her helpless; she was scored 18th.
On Sunday at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Hohlbein was forced to retire before the main event even started - a motor hiccup being the culprit.
Abby Hohlbein's upcoming schedule is still to be determined. Keep up with her online at www.abbyhracing.com.
