Applefest 100 Wraps Up Tri City’s 2025 Season with $2,500 Pro Stock Showdown This Saturday

The 2025 racing season at Tri City Raceway Park comes to a close this Saturday night, September 13, and there’s no better way to send it off than with the return of the Applefest 100. It’s a full night of racing action, big purses, and one last chance for drivers to leave their mark before the year ends.

Headlining the program is a 40-lap, $2,500-to-win Pro Stock main event, part of the Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series and presented by Shawgo Real Estate. This marks the 15th and final Pro Stock feature of the year at Tri City, and it’s been one of the most competitive divisions all season long. Bobby Whitling, Mike Miller, and Curt J. Bish each have three wins, Josh Seippel has two, and Jackson Humanic, Brett Hutira, and Joe Stajnrajh have all grabbed one apiece. It’s been wide open from the start, and with $2,500 waiting at the line, expect nothing but elbows-up, full-send racing to wrap it up.

Race Director Jim Dutko summed up the excitement:
“Bringing Applefest back has been something we’ve looked forward to all season. This race isn’t just about payouts — it’s about community. Drivers, fans, sponsors — they all came together to make this night something special. You can feel the energy already.”

That community support has been huge. All 40 laps of the Pro Stock A-Main are sponsored, and additional awards will be handed out for fast time, heat wins, the dash, hard charger, hard luck, and best-looking car.

And none of this would’ve come together without the tireless work of Pat Fielding, who put in countless hours helping secure lap sponsors and build support for the event. Pat’s dedication behind the scenes has been critical to making Applefest a success, and the track extends a heartfelt thank-you for all of his efforts.

Billy Myers Sr. leads the division with four wins this season, while Raidden Wilson and William Baker have each collected three. Darr Diegleman and Kaden Michael have each added a win of their own, setting up a final showdown between some of the division’s strongest runners.

The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds return for their fourth appearance of the year, racing for $800 to win. Chas Wolbert picked up wins in the first two visits, while Todd English snagged the win in August. Expect another solid field in this competitive and growing class.

And rounding out the program, the Mini Stocks return for just their second race of the year, going 20 laps for $600 to win. Justin Forsythe scored the win back on July 4 and will be looking to make it two for two this Saturday.

Racing starts at 7:00 PM sharp. Pit passes for ages 3 and up are $40. General admission tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, military, and students, and kids 10 and under get in free.
