The Pirtek Renegades Winged Sprints filled the pits at Cedar Lake Speedway on Friday, with 28 teams prepared for competition. The top five starting drivers in the 20-lap feature were Garrett Tatnell, Casey Lang, Jamey Ogston, Austin Mosher, and Tony Kaus. As the slick track conditions evolved with each lap, 15-year-old rookie Garrett Tatnell led the first six laps, with a tight pack of drivers in pursuit, navigating around each other. Starting eighth, Hron took the lead by lap six and maintained it for the remaining 14 laps to claim the checkered flag.

"The track was slick all the way to the wall, with no cushion and some grip on the bottom," noted by Lang.

The event featured a skillful display of driving, highlighted by notable progress from drivers including rookie car #16 Willie Ewing, who rose from 22nd to 9th, and top-tier cars such as #42x Brett Peterson, who adeptly navigated from 10th to 2nd, and #95 John Vaillancourt, who made a significant leap from 16th to 4th.

Following Hron to the finish line were Brett Peterson, Chase Viebrock, John Vaillancourt, and Tatnell.

Hron, who typically dominates in his traditional car, made his Pirtek/Hoosier Tire North Victory Lane debut with his wing car for the first time with the UMSS.
