Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (Sept. 22, 2025) – Kaleb Johnson finished one spot shy of tying his season-best Kubota High Limit Racing result last Saturday during the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway.

Johnson and Team DGRD decided to tackle the High Limit doubleheader at the half-mile oval with the weather forecast showing wet weather at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn.

“We hated to miss Jackson, but we ended up getting two nights in at Eldora,” he said. “From Friday to Saturday I got more comfortable and the crew guys did a great job. I was able to race better once I did that.”

Johnson opened Friday’s program by qualifying 16th quickest in his group. He advanced from eighth to sixth place in a heat race and from third to second place in the B Main to transfer into the back of the main event. Johnson ended the night with a 21st-place result.

“We didn’t qualify very good and that put us behind on Friday, but we were at least able to make the feature and run the laps,” he said. “That was important for Saturday. We continued to get better every time we hit the track.”

Improvement continued to show on Saturday as Johnson maneuvered from sixth to fourth place during a qualifier to lock into the main event. He started 15th and battled for a top 10 before finishing 13th.

“We were racing for a top 10 and I made a couple of mistakes and wasn’t able to recover,” he said. “It was great from where we started in qualifying on Friday.”

The team will head to Pennsylvania to compete this Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown and Sunday at Path Valley Speedway Park in Spring Run. Sunday’s event is a High Limit Racing show.

“I’m looking forward to it and going to two tracks I haven’t been to,” he said. “I have limited laps at Williams Grove and haven’t been to Lincoln or Path Valley. I want to make all the A Mains and get as many laps as possible.”
