Belleville, IL (9/21/25) Rising to the occasion in a season defined by consistency, determination, and on-track success, Wyatt Burks of Topeka, Kansas, has captured the 2025 Wholesale Batteries POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League/Midwest Wingless Racing Association Challenge Series Championship.
Piloting the familiar Wholesale Batteries–backed Rumsey Special, Harris Fabrication, Jaden’s Hope Foundation, Ott-powered No. 11W, Burks amassed 2,380 points across ten events, outpacing runner-up Jack Wagner by 120 points in the final standings. His championship campaign featured his eleventh career series victory, along with eight top-five finishes and nine top-ten results, underscoring his steady presence at the front of the field.
One of Burks’ standout moments came on August 31 at Lake Ozark Speedway, when he outdueled Wesley Smith and Jack Wagner to claim a thrilling Non-Wing Nationals preliminary victory. Coupled with multiple podium finishes at Missouri mainstays, Burks’ ability to finish strong proved decisive in the championship battle.
The 2025 campaign once again highlighted the depth and competitiveness of the POWRi Wholesale Batteries Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League Challenge Series, with drivers such as Jack Wagner, Samuel Wagner, Wesley Smith, and Zachary Clark finishing inside the season’s top five and pushing Burks throughout the summer. Ultimately, Burks’ balance of speed and reliability elevated him to the top of the championship picture.
