2025 Season Finale in the books at Grays Harbor Raceway

Elma, WA -

One final race to finish off 2025 race season at Grays Harbor Raceway under a beautiful early fall night in the Harbor. Alex Peck won his 3rd race in 3 Midget races, Nick Miles picked up his 4th Hornet win, and first time winner for David Greene in the 360 Limited Sprints, and Shane Baer in the Spec Ranger Trucks.

David Greene led from the pole and was able to take the lead into turn one and lead all 25 laps for his first victory at Grays Harbor Raceway and in a bigger Sprint Car. Tyson Burman who made the way over from Lewiston Idaho ran 2nd, followed by Tim Martin in what he called his retirement race in 3rd, Piper Harless in 4th and Garrel Powers on his 55th birthday ran 5th in his first race at the raceway. Kurt Zylstra ran his first ever race as he is the father to Keira and it was really cool to see him get behind the wheel. Unfortunately dnf’s to Zoey Tupper and Samuel Strange. David Greene was quick time of the night in group qualifying and Piper Harless and Tim Martin picked up the heat race wins.

In the Northwest Focus Midgets Alex Peck ran behind Garrett Thomas for 7 laps and on lap 8 made a tight move which Thomas has to make a quick abrasive move to not make contact and Peck in the Pyles motorsports entry sailed on to the win. Thomas finished second followed by Randy Schaaf in 3rd, Chad Kincaid in 4th and Tyler Luce rounded out the top 5. Alex Peck was quickest in group qualifying, and Thomas won the heat race.

The Spec Ranger Trucks were back for a second time and this time with the rains last Sunday it made the infield a lot slippier which got better as the night went on. Shane Baer was able to take advantage of the stand still restarts and get around Jonah Vick for the win. Vick finished second, Kevin Caufman third, and Matt Higgenbotham was 4th. Shane Baer had a clean sweep tonight by being quick time and winning the heat race.

While the Hornets had trouble completing a lot of consecutive green flag laps early Nick Miles was able to run away at each restart and lead all the laps for his 4th victory on the season. John Johnson held on for second, but had a spirited battle with Nik Sheets who finished 3rd, Dan McDonald who finished 4th and Greg Coverdale who finished 5th. John Johnson was the quickest in Group Qualifying which we have only done the final race the last two years, and John Johnson, and Nick Miles won the heat races.

It was a fun season at Grays Harbor Raceway in 2025. We will celebrate our champions and more at our 2025 Season Banquet at the Lucky Eagle Casino on Saturday Oct 25th.
