Inside Line Promotions – SPRING RUN, Pa. (Sept. 29, 2025) – Kaleb Johnson improved his results throughout a busy weekend in Pennsylvania.

“They were three completely different tracks, but all had similar heaviness,” he said. “We struggled to start each night, but got better the more laps we got.”

The action began on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, where the Team DGRD driver was 18th quickest in time trials. Johnson then placed eighth in a heat race and 10th in the B Main.

“We were too snug pretty much the whole night,” he said. “We qualified okay. In the heat race I didn’t get a good start and then in the B Main we had the car a lot better. I made a mistake down the backstretch and got into the wall and tore the Jacob’s Ladder out. It was tough to do much after that.”

Johnson qualified 15th quickest to kick off his debut at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown on Saturday. A fifth-place result in a heat race locked him into the main event, which was washed out by rain.

“The track was a lot heavier than what we were expecting,” he said. “It was the one night we drew good and didn’t want to because the track got faster and faster. I felt we qualified okay. It was tough to do much in the heat race and then the feature rained out. It was good to get laps before the Outlaws show there in a couple of weeks.”

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday at Path Valley Speedway Park, where Johnson also made his first appearance. He was 17th quickest in his group during qualifying. A charge from ninth to sixth place in a heat race narrowly missed locking into the main event. Johnson finished fourth in the B Main to garner the final A-Main transfer position. He maneuvered from 24th to 15th before dropping four positions in the waning laps due to a tire going flat.

“We didn’t start off too good and were too tight at the beginning of the night, but we steadily improved,” he said. “We went forward in the heat race and hung on in the B Main. I was happy to make the show. It’s tough when you’re starting in the back like that. On a race track that small a lot can happen. We avoided all the wrecks and got better so that’s all I could ask for.”

Johnson will remain in Pennsylvania this weekend for the J & S Classics National Open at Williams Grove Speedway. He made his debut at the track and in the event last year.

“I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “Qualifying is the main thing. It’s a big weekend with a lot of cars. There’s a lot of emphasis on qualifying well to put ourselves in position to be competitive. I think my biggest goal is to try to make the feature each night.”
