Belleville, IL. (9/29/2025) Following standard post-race technical inspection of the POWRi Midwest Mod feature event at Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, September 27, during the POWRi StockMod Nationals, the No. 0 of Dakota Girard and the No. 5 of Daniel Anders were disqualified for violations of the POWRi Midwest Mod division rulebook.
Inspection of the top three finishers revealed that both the No. 0 and No. 5 cars were utilizing illegal camshafts not permitted under Midwest Mod rules. The lift of both camshafts exceeded the maximum 430 specification. This was confirmed through multiple measurements conducted by all technical inspectors on site, who unanimously reached the decision.
As a result, the following penalties have been issued to both drivers and teams:
- Disqualification from the September 27 event at Lake Ozark Speedway
- Loss of all 2025 national POWRi points
- $1,000 fine
- Suspension in effect until the fine is paid and both cars pass technical inspection
POWRi remains committed to maintaining a fair and level playing field for all competitors and appreciates the cooperation of its teams in upholding the integrity of the sport.
