Great Night At LPS To End The Regular Season With 6 Feature Winners

2025 at LPS is coming close to the end and Saturday was the regular season finale. The World of Outlaws and our awesome bombers will close the curtain on October 17th at LPS. We had 20 sprints enter the gates and fast times went to Austin Cory, Seth Parker and Kyle Johnson. Kudos to Tommie for another great track since the sprints were running in the 12 second bracket during the 3rd group. Heat race 1 went to Austin Nigh over Shane Cottle, Noah Whitehouse and Ivan Glotzbach. Heat race 2 Beau Brandon won it over Chance Crum, Seth Parker and James Boyd. Great to see Bryan Brewer back after he had a scary ride in the red 8 about 3 weeks ago and it is fantastic to see his is ok and back in the racing seat. The final heat went to Mason Giddens over Zack Pretorius, Brandon Spencer and Kyle Johnson. This setup the final 25 lap non wing main event for the year. We are glad to see Zack, Ivan and Brandon are all okay after a very scary wreck early in the feature that sent Ivan high in the air. Shane Cottle in the #34 ride was very stout and he came from 6th to take the lead and he used both the bottom and the top side to get to the front. He would share the lead with Beau Brandon and both of them put on a dandy trade of the lead for the fans. Shane held on for the win over Beau Brandon, Chance Crum, Tye Mihocko, Seth Parker and Austin Nigh. Congrats to the 24P team for their 3 years in a row title at LPS and thanks to all my non wing heroes for putting on an outstanding show every week.

The mod fast times with 23 cars went to Tyler Loughmiller, Matt Mitchell and Derek Losh. The 3 heats were won by Brayden Doyle, Matt Mitchell and Derek Losh. This setup the A main with Derek and Matt on the front row. We are blessed these 2 Rensselaer pilots pull to LPS almost every week. Congrats to Matt and the entire 2M team for winning 3 titles in a row also at LPS!! The final 20 lap A main would go to Derek Losh and he held off Matt Mitchell, Cody Wright, Brayden Doyle, Dustin Bruce and Sydney Landes.

The Super Stocks had 21 entries and the fast times were Lee Hobbs, Nick Kinnett and Devin Wallen. The 3 heat race winners were Lee Hobbs, Wes McClara and Devin Wallen. This setup their final 20 lap A main with Devin and Lee on the front row. The #57 pilot from Brazil would not be denied and ran a very strong 20 laps not missing a beat on the cushion and held on for the big win over Lee Hobbs, Wes McClara, Josh Litton and Travis Heramb. Great to see Josh Litton back at LPS running a super stock as he has been running a Crate Late Model this season. Thanks to all the UMP Mods and Super Stocks for putting on great shows and congrats on your point totals against the other national drivers.

The Bombers had 17 entries with fast times going to Josh Vancleave and Josh Foxworlthy. The 2 heat race winners were Bradley Roundtree and Josh Foxworthy. This setup their 15 lap A main with both Josh’s grabbing the front row on the draw. Josh Foxworthy would win the feature taking both the checkers and the championship. Following him at the line it was Josh Vancleave, Jason Trader, Randy Foxworthy, Katie Grigsby and Brad Davis. Congrats to the 38 team and Josh for the championship at LPS.

The Mod makeup from last week started our evening with Matt Mitchell and Jerry Bland Jr. on the front row. These two had a great battle early but Derek Losh from 4 was on his way to the battle and looked strong as he powered to the lead from the 2nd row starting spot. He grew his lead but the 3 behind him were inches apart. Jerry Bland Jr. with Matt Mitchell and Tyler Loughmiller were sometimes close to 3 wide coming out of turn 4 for the 2nd spot. Our great photographer might have got the pic of the year with those 3 battling inches apart and all lifting up their left fronts. Thanks Tom for a great photo as always. The final 10 laps Derek grew his lead and went on for the win over Jerry Bland Jr., Cody Wright, Dustin Bruce and Dustin Golden.

The Super Stocks turn for their makeup was next. Reece Novak and Wes McClara started on the front row and both looked good but both had problems during the feature and had some body damage to fix before the 2nd show started in their heats. The 20 lap even was I guess you would call chaotic with many body kisses or slams with guys racing hard for the win. Lee Hobbs which will be the UMP Champ came from 6th to hold on for the win over Devin Wallen from 12th, Cody Tate, Hayden Groomer and Jordan Almanza. Thanks to all the teams for an outstanding 2025 at LPS. Don’t forget October 17th we will have the World of Outlaws and our top 20 in Bombers to put on the last show of the year. Thanks to Tommie, Jen and our entire LPS staff for always putting on a great show every Saturday night and to our fans, crews and drivers you all are heroes to us and it is always sad at the end of the season but April will be here fast hopefully!!
