REUNITED: Ian Madsen drives TKS Motorsports to Hawkeye Nationals podium at Lee County; Lakeside ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (October 6, 2025) - Ian Madsen’s return to TKS Motorsports was impressive, to say the least, not only driving the Mitchellville, Iowa-based operation to back-to-back POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League top-tens at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, but the St. Marys, New South Wales, Australia, native ultimately capped the Hawkeye Nationals with a podium, finishing just behind Emerson Axsom and winner Aaron Reutzel. The podium resulted in TKS Motorsports’ fifth top-five of the season, now with 11 top-tens since the beginning of the year.

Although Madsen - who was sidelined due to a mid-season injury - finished higher in the Hawkeye Nationals finale, his effort in Friday’s opener was just as head-turning, eventually climbing 14 spots to finish sixth from row ten, simultaneously clinching the evening’s Hard Charger Award.

Padding their weekend stat sheet, Madsen’s preliminary effort in Saturday’s Hawkeye Nationals finale kicked-off with a heat race victory.

“Super proud of what Ian [Madsen] was able to accomplish this weekend. He’s a talented race car driver with a lot of confidence. We knew he may have needed some time to knock the rust off, but he certainly proved he hasn’t lost a step,” Troy Renfro, owner of the TKS Motorsports, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Webb Family Farms, Landus, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, No. 2KS sprint car, said. “Hats off to this entire team. It was a hard-fought weekend in Donnellson, but we’re ready to keep this momentum going. Looking forward to Lakeside this Friday and Saturday.”
