Inside Line Promotions – ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 13, 2025) – Big Game Motorsports highlighted last weekend with its 37th podium performance of the season on Friday at New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, N.J.
David Gravel guided the team to its 22nd quick time of the season with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series before winning a heat race and maneuvering from sixth to third place in the dash.
“We were hitting on all eight every time we hit the track,” he said. “We had a bad dash draw, but we were able to get to the second row. I felt we’d have a shot to win that race. It never worked out, but we ran a solid third.”
Gravel ran third throughout the feature for his 54th top-five result of the season.
The team ventured to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday.
“It started great going quick time in our group,” he said. “We won a heat race and won the dash. The wheels fell off about Lap 6 in the feature. I tried to limp it the end, but didn’t make it. The clamp that holds the magneto on the engine broke so the magneto turned and either severely retarded or advanced the timing. The motor ran hot and ended up failing. It was a stupid, cheap part failure and something you couldn’t prevent.”
Gravel suffered a DNF approximately one third of the way through the 35-lap feature, leaving him with a 26th-place result. The team’s points lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings was cut to 106 points with eight races remaining this season.
“It sucks,” he said. “You work all year to gain 10 points or 20 points. To lose 42 points in one night is definitely something you never want to happen. Two mechanical issues this year have put us down. We have to come back and come out swinging this weekend and have three good runs.”
Next is a three-race weekend with World of Outlaws shows on Friday at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind., for the Putnamville Showdown; on Saturday at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Ill., for the LaSalle Showdown; and on Sunday at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis., for the Badger State Triple.
“I haven’t been to Lincoln Park in a long time,” Gravel said. “It’s a super tight track with a big cushion. The last time I was there we ran good with the Outlaws. I don’t really know much about LaSalle. I don’t remember racing there. And Angell Park, it’s been a while since I’ve been there, too.”
Gravel finished second during his most recent visit to Lincoln Park Speedway in 2016. In 2013, he ran eighth the last time he competed at LaSalle Speedway. Gravel placed fourth in 2016 during his last race at Angell Park Speedway.
