Cole Vanderheiden's weekend at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, may have ended short of main event competition, but the experience gained was worth its weight in gold, capping the two-day Heartland of America Showdown featuring High Limit Racing with back-to-back B-Main appearances, the better of the two concluding in the 12th position.
As noted, the stats may have lacked, but the lap time attained was priceless, battling nearly 40 of the country's finest for two straight days including High Limit Racing championship contenders Rico Abreu, Aaron Reutzel, and Brad Sweet. Although it was Vanderheiden's first-ever attempt with High Limit, his 410 sprint car experience treads water, recording a recent runner-up finish at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, on Friday, September 12.
