Mother Nature may have interfered with the weekend finale, but the show went on as scheduled Friday night at Tulsa Speedway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Howard Moore was in on the action, joining the ASCS National Tour for the highly sought-after Double Down in T-Town. When the dust settled Friday, Moore was in a respectable position, not only qualifying for the ASCS main event, but racing on to finish 17th, bettering nearly half of the 35-car field.
Driving Tiny Gaines’ G6, Moore launched action with the fourth-fastest qualifying time within his respective group, racing on to finish fourth in his respective heat race. Moore's combined preliminary effort allowed him to start 15th on the A-Main grid.
