USAC East Coast portion of Penn Can’s King of the Can weekend postponed to 2026!

Officials from the USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series and Penn Can Speedway have mutually agreed to postpone the USAC East Coast wingless sprint car portion of the King of the Can weekend until the 2026 season.

“With the cooler temperatures and the rescheduled date for USAC, everyone involved felt it was in both parties’ best interest to move the USAC show to 2026,” said Nathan Aldrich, new promoter of Penn Can Speedway. “Reschedule dates are always tough, and series officials informed us that several teams originally planning to attend have experienced season-ending mechanical failures. When USAC East Coast comes to Penn Can, we want them to deliver the best show possible for our fans.”

USAC East Coast President Ed Aikin echoed Aldrich’s comments:

“We want to give the Penn Can fans a great race and a strong field of cars. The cold weather and the timing of this reschedule just aren’t doing us any favors. Nathan and his team have been great to work with, and we look forward to bringing the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars to Penn Can in 2026.”

The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars now have one weekend left on the 2025 calendar — at Bridgeport Speedway — featuring a non-winners race and open practice on Friday, October 31, followed by a complete show on Saturday, November 1.
