(Grayslake, IL, Wednesday, October 22, 2025)--Colin Sivia of Winthrop Harbor, IL, 13-year-old 8th grader, shared his knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for racing with over 6,000 junior high through high school students at the Navig8Lake County event Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Colin, the fourth generation driver and 11-75 Sports Complex and Eatery IRA Lightning Sprints 2025 Rookie of the Year, showed the students how to change a tire, explaining the workings of his lightning sprint and helped some of the students actually sit in his car.
Colin, who attends North Prairie Junior High, got to show members of his class what he does outside the classroom.
Accompanied by his Grandpa Jim Sivia and IRA announcing team member and Let's Go Racing podcast host Mike Babicz, Sivia was kept busy throughout the day.
Sivia's showing of the innerworkings of the car impressed the students as well as chaperones and organizers of the event.
