Gunnar Setser earns USAC's Max Papis Innovations Rookie of the Year honors

The 2025 USAC National Sprint Cars campaign is officially complete, and Columbus, Indiana's Gunnar Setser is the tour's Rookie of the Year, solidifying honors in Central Arizona Raceway's 58th Western World Championships on Friday and Saturday, October 24-25. In what was USAC's closest Rookie of the Year chase in Series history, Setser claimed his throne by four points over Hayden Reinbold, utilizing a pair of Western World A-Main starts - finishing 14th and 19th - to maintain command. In fact, it was USAC's first-ever appearance at the Casa Grande oval, welcoming nearly 50 of the nation's finest non-wing aces to battle in USAC's 2025 season finale.

In addition to claiming USAC Rookie of the Year honors, Setser finished tenth in the final USAC National Sprint Cars championship standings, falling just behind Chase Stockton by 106 markers.
