The 2025/26 Wingless Sprint season roars into life this weekend at the Perth Motorplex, with a stacked field of competitors ready to battle it out in the ID Builders Greg Migro Classic.

With over 30 entries, fans can expect two nights of high octane action as the Slinglift-backed Wingless Sprint field hits the high banks of the ‘Plex on Friday and Saturday night, showcasing some of Western Australia’s finest open-wheel talent in what is sure to be a huge season, including the first ever time the Motorplex hosts the Australian Wingless Sprint Championship.

Leading the charge this weekend will be a host of Wingless Sprint superstars from last season including Matthew Iwanow (Iwanow Motorsport), Brandon Sharpe (Sharpe Motorsport), Travis Armstrong (Armstrong Motorsport), and Daran Humfrey (Humfrey Racing), all of whom are proven performers with the speed and experience to contend for top honours.

Humfrey was one of the standout drivers of last season, finishing runner-up in the Perth Motorplex Track Championship, while Kurt McKain also enjoyed a stellar campaign, coming home third overall.

Adding more firepower to the field is Blake Scarey (Scarey One Motorsports), who claimed two feature race victories last season and will be looking to carry that winning form into the new season.

Adding extra intrigue to the weekend is a strong contingent of rookie drivers who are ready to make their mark. Fresh faces such as Brendan Newmarch, Tyler McQuilkin, Ethan Flynn, and Ben Foster bring plenty of enthusiasm and excitement to the field, as do returning names like Jye McKenzie Jye Mckenzie Racing and the two car team of Ernie and Daryl George (Wogboy Racing), ensuring fans will be treated to a thrilling mix of established stars, returning drivers and hungry newcomers.

The event proudly honours Greg Migro, a highly respected figure within the Wingless Sprints WA community.
