Callum Williamson and Dayne Kingshott are the early leaders in the 2025-26 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series championship.
It is no surprise, given both are two-time series champions.
After the second round was contested at the Perth Motorplex last Saturday night, Williamson is on 446 points, six points better than Kingshott on 440.
Williamson won the first round, back on October 18 and then in the latest outing, was second to Kingshott, who in the opening round was fifth.
They are the only two drivers to finish in the top five at each outing.
Taylor Milling, who was second in round one, and seventh in round two, is third overall on 432 points.
Brad Maiolo, is just behind in fourth on 430 points, thanks to a fourth and a sixth.
Rounding out the top five is Daniel Harding on 328 points.
Harding started the season with a third, behind Williamson and Milling in the season opener, and backed this up with an eighth in round two.
The top 10 is completed by Michael Keen 424 (best result 5th), Jason Kendrick 418 (best result 6th), Chad Pittard 402 (best result 10th), Ryan Lancaster 400 (best result 9th) and Kris Coyle 398 (best result 4th).
Round three of the series will be held at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday, November 15, being the Scardifields Smash Repairs King of Wings.
This is a 40-lap feature race that will have a compulsory infield pitstop, somewhere around mid-race distance.
The local field will be boosted by some big nominations, including national champion James McFadden, in his first appearance in the Brady Motorsport A1, Kerry Madsen in the Diamond Bay Motorsports W26 and Queenslander Ryan Newton in the Sean and Dot Carren owned W95.
