RacinBoys, with partners Lucas Oil and MAVTV, provided a flawless live Pay-Per-View broadcast during Thursday’s qualifying night of the 28th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Presented by General Tire at Tulsa Expo Raceway.
Friday is the fourth – and final – qualifying night of the premier midget event before Saturday’s finale. Fans unable to attend the event can purchase the remaining days of the live Pay-Per-View for only $25 per day. For more information, visit http://www.RacinBoys.com. Racing is scheduled to begin at approximately 6 p.m. (CST) on Friday.
Thursday showcased the third consecutive night of first-time preliminary winners as Christopher Bell led all 25 laps to capture the victory.
“The Chili Bowl is the race to me,” the Oklahoma native said. “If there was one race I could run, it would be here, especially with it being in my home state.”
Damion Gardner finished in second place on the tricky track, which featured a treacherous cushion around the bullring.
“We weren’t quite as good in traffic,” he said. “We just tried to make clean laps and get around them as best as we could without getting in trouble.”
Arguably the best battle of the night was for the third-and-final transfer position as Michael Pickens held off four-time defending Chili Bowl champion Kevin Swindell, who rallied from 13th to win a C Main, from 13th to win a B Main and from 17th to fourth place in the main event.
“I wasn’t totally comfortable with the car and settled for third and happy to be locked in and then Kevin comes up inside of me,” Pickens said. “I had to get going and was lucky we had another 10 percent left and was able to shake him off.
“That’s a pretty nice race track as far as I’m concerned. That’s all you can ask for is two lanes to race on.”
RacinBoys will provide live Pay-Per-View from all of the qualifying night action Tuesday through Friday as well as Saturday’s features until MAVTV begins its broadcast, which is scheduled for approximately 7:30 p.m. (CST). At that point, fans who have purchased the RacinBoys Pay-Per-View will have audio for the remainder of the Chili Bowl.

- Saturday’s live PPV video broadcast on RacinBoys will only cover up to the start of the MAVTV television broadcast. RacinBoys video will only go off the air once the MAVTV show begins at approximately 7:30 p.m. (CST). RacinBoys audio coverage of the remaining races, including the 55-lap A-Main, will continue for those who purchased the live Pay-Per-View.
