Marcham Racing Prepares for a Busy Winter Schedule

Mooresville, N.C. (December 3, 2012) - Preparations are underway and Trey Marcham is ready to race in both the Tulsa Shootout and the 2013 Chili Bowl.
With over 500 competitors registered for the Shootout race weekend, Marcham is running in both the “A” Class Non-Winged and the “A” Class Winged divisions. Both the No. 32 ”blue tornado” driven by Trey and the No. 8 mini-sprint driven by younger brother Josh will be sponsored by Simpson Race Products, Metal Supermarkets of Oklahoma City, Pinnacle Energy, Best Western Tulsa Airport, J&B Digital Graphics, Mud-X and RD Marcham Energy.
After running the Shootout for the past five years, the Marchams looks forward to the exciting weekend ahead. A jammed packed schedule includes two heat races (the second of which is inverted), the top 64 cars qualifying, and the top eight locking in for the features.

Making both features last year, Trey Marcham is optimistic for this year. “Last year we were unable to finish either feature for various reasons. This year, we want to finish both and finish strong. I am very excited to have my brother Josh racing both classes also, giving me even more motivation to run strong, and hopefully win. This venue is just so amazing to run at, and every lap we run well, it just adds to my experience.”

Looking Ahead: Trey Marcham is counting the days until his first appearance at the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl. “The Chili Bowl is the biggest race in the country and it will be my first race in the Midgets,” Marcham said. “If we can do well in both of these huge races, it will get Marcham Racing out there, and hopefully bring us some more sponsorship for next year.”
