“The Creek” Lights it up Blue on Friday, and “Fast Five Weekly Series” Racing continues Saturday.

Terry Mattox - SAPULPA, Okla. (April 8, 2014) - Two nights of wheel to wheel, wall to wall, traction action is set for this weekend at the tight quarter-mile oval of Creek County Speedway.

Things will get kicked off on Friday night, April 11 with the first of five “Open Wheel Mayhems” on the 2014 schedule as we “Light up the Creek Blue” to raise awareness for Autism.

This special night of racing will be headlined by the revived Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget Series as a big field of Midgets will invade the “Quick Quarter” for the first time.

Also on the docket will be the “Mighty Micros” of the National Open Wheel 600 Series as all three NOW600 divisions (Restrictor, A-Class, and Non-Wing) are set to tame “The Creek” on Friday night.

Friday night’s action is set to begin at 8:00, with Gates opening at 5:00.

Ticket prices are as followed: Adults: $15, Kids 10-14: $7, and Children under 10 are always FREE! Pit Passes are $30.

“Fast Five Weekly Series” action continues on Saturday night as Week 3 of the 2014 season takes the green.

Fred Mattox has taken over command of the Champ Sprint division with an 11 point lead over Ricky York. Brandon James holds down the third spot sitting 18 points behind York. Grant Wresche and Robbie Sherrell round out the top five in the Champ Sprint division.

Ho Dean leads Anthony Neel by 17 points in the A-Modified division. Randy Bailey sits in the third spot four markers behind Neel. Johnny DeRamus and Spencer Hill complete the top five going into week three.

Going into week three in the Dwarf Car division, we have a tie for the top spot, as Tanner Phillips and Samuel Stageman are both on top of the points chart with 270 points. David Cummins is in the third spot nine points behind the leaders. Rob McQuary and Doug Risenhoover round out the top five in the “Down and Dirty” Dwarf Car division.

Tommie Romine currently holds a 21 point lead over Lance Folsom in the “Fast and Furious” Factory Stock division. Bobby Wolfe finds himself rounding out the podium 30 points behind Folsom. Jimmy Owen and Toby Cooper currently round out the top five.

Dee Denton is sitting on the top spot in the Mini Stock division going into this Saturday nights affair. Joshua Tyre is in the runner up spot in the points chase, 18 markers behind the leader. Dale Wick resides in third, with Jim Turner, and Michael Stucks rounding out the top five.

Load up the kids, call your mother in law and bring them all out to “The Creek” this Friday and Saturday night for the fastest fun around!

Saturday night:

Gates open at 4:30; Hotlaps at 6:30; and the green flag flies at 7:00!
