Freeman to Make First Visit to Superbowl Speedway This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (May 12, 2014) – Cody Freeman’s batteries are recharged after taking last weekend off to spend time with his family.

Freeman embarks upon an ambitious schedule the next three weeks as he will tackle seven micro sprint races at six tracks throughout his home state of Texas. It starts this Saturday at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, where he will make his debut.

“Looking at the videos and pictures of the track, it’s the type of track I generally do well at,” he said. “We’re really confident. Everybody is recharged and ready to go. Our schedule is pretty aggressive until our next break.”

It also doesn’t hurt that the track is a Sunday drive away from the shop.

“It’s our closest trip of the year,” he said. “It’s maybe an hour and a half down the road.”

With four podiums in his last five races, Freeman’s objective for his inaugural race at Superbowl Speedway is clear.

“We played the season safe in the first part to break in the new car,” he said. “We’re confident in the car and now we’re ready to really kick off our racing season and run hard the rest of the year.”
