May Midget Recap for Hulsey
Owassao, OK | May 15,2014- With only a handful of midget races under his belt Ty Hulsey continues to make a name for himself in the PowrI West Midget series based out of Tulsa, OK. Consecutively showing that he has the skills and ability to run with the best of the best.
This month the team competed in three events in the family owned midget, with two of those being co-sanctioned with the PowrI National Midgets. Traveling to the Show-Me state Missouri proved to be a major learning experience for the rookie team and driver. Starting off May 2 at Grain Valley Speedway the team finished 6th in the heat and 8th in the B feature missing the transfer to the A feature by a few spots. The next day the team gathered up and headed to the world famous Lucas Oil Speedway. Refocused and ready Ty finished 6th in the Heat, 3rd in the B transferring him into the A feature where he finished 18th.
The final race for the month was held at I44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, OK. Finishing 7th in the heat race that locked him into a 4th row starting position. From the start Hulsey was on the move doing everything he could to go to the front, but when the dust came to a rest he had settled for a top 10 finish.
The team looks to finish off the month running the Multi at Port City Raceway before returning to OKC to run the midget on June 7th.
