Lonnie Wheatley, ATOMIC CITY, Idaho (July 10, 2009) – Brent Kronfuss made the most of the American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region debut at Idaho's Atomic Motor Raceway by racing to victory lane in Friday night's 25-lap preliminary feature event.
Kronfuss assumed the lead aboard John Schwartz' USA-powered Wintergreen Construction No. 93 Maxim after Jake Ossenfort and David Hoiness tangled while battling for the lead on the 17th round.
Kronfuss went on to take his second series win of the year over Danielle Ossenfort, with Jeremy McCune racing from 14th to take the show position. Kody Swanson was fourth, with Bob Schaeffer rounding out the top five. Jake Ossenfort rebounded to finish sixth.
Schaeffer and Hoiness topped Friday night's heat race action.
