Tulsa Oklahoma (July 1, 2014) – After two weeks of sporting non-wing action, the teams of the Oil Capital Racing Series will remount their aluminum airfoils and take to the Osage Casino Caney Valley Speedway in Caney Kansas for a night of action packed sprint car racing this Saturday. In conjunction with the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the speedway will also present their annual fireworks show for the fans in attendance.

There have been nine different winners in the 11 races held thus far in the battle for the 2014 Harold Leep Championship trophy. There hasn’t been a repeat winner in the last seven events, which is a period covering May 10th through June 27th. This streak matches the same streak of seven straight new faces in victory lane last year (May 11th – June 22nd). Ironically, Gary Owens started each streak and Danny Smith is at the tail end of each streak. Will Saturday produce an 8th straight different trophy winner? It very well could happen.

Of particular interest to the fans of the Osage Casino Caney Valley Speedway, will be the driver of the Cagle Motorsports number15d entry, Andrew Deal. A native of Caney, Deal currently sets in second place in the OCRS point standings just 55 points back of Smith (866-811). Deal is searching for that first win of 2014 and nothing would suit him more than to win in front of his native fan base.

The OCRS event Saturday night at the Osage Casino Caney Valley Speedway will mark the halfway point in the 13th season of OCRS competition. Race fans can expect a great holiday racing program with plenty of fireworks both on and off the track. The schedule for this weekend’s event is:
