(Bill W) July 15, 2009 – The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders hit the banked 3/8 mile oval at Quincy Raceways in Quincy, Illinois this Sunday, July 18. This will mark the third appearance for the Sprint Invaders at the track. Three events scheduled for Quincy in 2008 were lost to weather.

Ricky Logan (2006) and Matt Sutton (2007) are the previous Sprint Invaders winners in Quincy. Matt Rogerson leads the current point race by nineteen over Bobby Mincer, who took the Lee County Fair race last weekend in Donnellson. Last week’s “Fair Frenzy” shook up the points quite a bit. “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison is third, ahead of Jimmy Davies, and rookie CJ Houseman.

The Rookie of the Year race is heating up, after CJ’s strong runs last week. He is currently eleven points ahead of brother Mike Houseman Jr. Emden, Illinois driver, Ben Wagoner, is looking to get past some mechanical gremlins that have plagued him lately. He is eighth in points.

Pits open at 3:00, with Grandstands opening at 5:00. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:00, with racing to follow. Adult Tickets are $15, Seniors are $12, Teens are $10, and Kids 10 and under are FREE. Family Passes (2 adults/2 teens) are $40.
