Haud picks Up Two Thirds and A Sixth Place Finish

PETERSEN MEDIA: Finishing up the All Stars Circuit of Champions “Thunder Through the Plains”, Jac Haudenschild picked up a pair of third place finishes in Williston, ND before capping his week off with a sixth place finish at the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night.

Spending Wednesday and Thursday competing in his car owners hometown, Haudenschild kicked Wednesday night off by timing the MonDak Portabbles/Renegade Rentals/Rens Trucking No. 9w in third fastest.

Finishing second in his heat race from the third spot, Haudenschild earned a spot in the dash, which he would go on to win, and start the feature event from the pole position.

When the action went green, Haudenschild jumped out to the early lead, though he would have his hands full with Tim Kaeding and Dale Blaney, as the trio broke away from the pack.

As the laps clicked away, Haudenschild continued to run strong up front, but Blaney found something to his liking on the top shelf, and was able to get the lead from Haudenschild, as the trio continued to battle.

Late in the feature event, Haudenschild would slip back to the third spot, where he would go on to finish.

Back at the Williston Basin Speedway on Thursday night, Haudenschild turned in a repeat performance during qualifications, as he was again the third fastest qualifier during time trials.

Picking up his heat race win, The Wooster, OH driver would finish fifth in the dash from his sixth spot, putting him on the inside third row for the feature event.

With the bottom being the preferred groove on this night, ‘The Wild Child’ would work into the third spot, as he again found himself in a three car pack along with Blaney and Kaeding, as they again broke away from the field.

Working his way through traffic in the lead pack, Haudenschild would close out his stay in Williston, ND with a second consecutive third place finish.

Sunday night saw the series make their second stop in as many weeks at the Huset’s Speedway, and with 23 cars in the pit area, Haudenschild fought his engine, to time in 13th fastest.

Tuning on the engine through the night, things came together in heat race action, as Haudenschild finished in the fourth spot, but relayed positive information to his Destiny Motorsports crew.

Lining up 12th in the feature event, Haudenschild was one of the few drivers who was able to make up ground during the race, as he flexed his muscled and quickly began working through the Top-10.

Hooking up in a battle with Ian Madsen late during the feature event, ‘The Wild Child’ would get the sixth spot, where he would go on to finish, feeling good about heading into Knoxville, IA, for the biggest two weeks of the year.
