Roar back at Park Jefferson this Saturday Night

Park Jefferson International Speedway will continue its season this coming Saturday night with the return of 5 classes of racing. Headlining the evening will be round 2 of the challenge between the ASCS Midwest Series and the Minnesota Mafia. The Home Pride #53 of Jack Dover, the ASCS Midwest point leader led the 21 car field, followed by Billy Alley and Russ Hall. Kaley Gharst came home 4th to lead the Minnesota Mafia racers. With Knoxville off this week, a number of drivers are considering running for the $1,500 top prize this week including Knoxville National A-Main participants Brian Brown, Terry McCarl and Justin Henderson.

The program will be rounded out by sport modifieds, hobby stocks, sport compacts and the Park Jefferson Thunder Cars. The Driver Websites/Golden Auto Double Dip challenge between Park Jefferson and Raceway Park will once again be in play for the sport modifieds, hobby stocks and sport compacts. Todd Boulware in the sport modified division picked up the first Double Dip bonus which was also supported by Artworks Graphics. The Boulware Auto #14 will be back this weekend to try and pick up another bonus check. Any driver in the three divisions that finishes first on Saturday at Park Jefferson and Sunday at Raceway Park will pick up the bonus. If any other sponsors want to add to the Double Dip contact Austin Lloyd at 605-212-0714.

The other exciting event this Saturday is the first annual Mafia Beanbag/Cornhole challenge. The popular tailgating game of beanbag toss will kick off in the afternoon starting approximately 3 p.m. The winner will walk away with a trophy, a nice prize check of $100 and free tickets to that evenings race. If you have an interest in the friendly pre-race competition, contact Austin Lloyd at 605-212-0714 or Austin@parkjeff.com.

Proceeds from the $20 entry fee for the tournament will go to benefit the wonderful local charity which we will announce soon. More details on the tournament will be announced tomorrow.

Gates will open at 5:30 for racing with hot laps taking the track at 6:30. Ticket prices for the event are adults $17 and children 6-18 are $8. Follow us at www.parkjeff.com or on Facebook at Park Jefferson Speedway
