Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (Sept. 9, 2014) – Big Game Motorsports driver Craig Dollansky scored a trio of top 10s during his busiest weekend of the season.

Dollansky kicked off the tripleheader with the IRA Sprints last Friday at Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wis., by qualifying sixth quickest. He then maneuvered from fifth to second place in his heat race to start on the outside of the front row for the main event.

“We had a pretty good starting spot in the feature,” he said. “At the beginning of the race we dropped back to around fifth and worked our way forward. We were a little off. Once I finally got the wing back it helped. We were able to make some changes that helped.”

Dollansky rebounded to guide the Big Game Treestands team to the runner-up finish.

On Saturday, Dollansky tackled Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., with the IRA Sprints. He timed in second quickest during qualifying and powered from sixth to third place in his heat race. The Big Game Treestands team ended seventh after racing just outside the top five throughout the night.

“We would have liked to get a better result than that,” Dollansky said. “We were just a little off the pace all night. We didn’t really make any forward progress. It was a bit of a struggle for us, but we loaded up with our car in one piece.”

The weekend concluded on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway for the $10,000-to-win season finale.

“My crew did a great job,” Dollansky said. “When you race three nights in a row it can be pretty demanding.”

The Big Game Treestands team qualified third quickest and finished fifth in a heat race. That lined Dollansky up on the outside of the fourth row for the main event.

“The track was in pretty good shape,” he said. “It was fairly fast. I was pretty happy with our race car. We had a car good enough to win and it took me a little too long to get by a couple of cars. It seemed like the race was over pretty quick.”

Dollansky finished fourth, which marked his 14th top five of the season.

“It would have been nice to come out of there with a win, but given where we started to come out of there fourth was good,” he said.

Dollansky will return to World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series competition this weekend at a pair of tracks he has won at with the premier sprint car series. The Big Game Treestands team will race on Friday at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, for The Arnold Motor Supply Shootout and on Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., for the Asgrow/DeKalb Clash at the Creek.
