Callihoo Racing Race Report - Sept 20 and Sept 21, 2014 - Central Alberta Raceways, Rimbey, Alberta.
Our Final weekend of racing of 2014, This was our only 2nd race weekend at Central Alberta Raceways last attendance was in June.
Saturday Sept 20 we finished Heat 1 6th, Heat 2 6th and Main 8th. Track prep was awesome saturday night our car ran good in the first heat but lost the set up once the moisture came to the track for the next heat and main race.
Sunday Sept 21 Wayne was leading the first heat race but the car slide up in corner 4 and Wayne was able to hold onto 2nd in Heat 1 being our best heat race finish in our rookie year, We finished 5th in Heat 2 Car was pretty good but the track was very dry so made some changes for the Main race. We started 4th in Main race and finished 4th being our best Main race finish this year and made it to the tech area for our final race of the season was a great way to finish the season . Thanks again to Kelly Daniels. Emily Anne Callihoo for your hard work and support for the weekend. And my Crew Chief Sonny Tonner for his help on Sunday. Sunday Main race was all green flags for all 20 laps.
Our Season has come to an end and am very pleased of our Rookie of the year at Castrol Raceway and finishing 9th in total season points. We will have a year end report soon. Next up for us is winter car repairs and shopping for Sponsors for our 2nd year in Sportsman Sprints. Thanks again to CCR Motorsport for the engine work for us this year.
