Sessums Tops 305 Power Rankings for 2014!

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (December 4, 2014) – North Texas edged Ohio once again as Jeb Sessums came away with the top spot in this year’s 305 Sprint Car Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park.
Battling for the top spot with Ohio’s Jordan Ryan most of the way, Sessums emerged with the number one ranking for the second year in a row. After claiming the number one ranking by just 21 points in 2013, Sessums edged Ryan for first by just 29 points this year.
Hailing from Joshua, TX, Sessums posted a handful of wins among his more the 40 top-ten feature finishes to take top honors, leading a swarm of five North Texas drivers among the top ten.
The track champ at both Fremont and Attica, Ryan settled for second after a ranking of sixth in 2013.
North Texas shoes Kyle Jones and Chad Wilson were fourth and fifth, respectively, with Ohio’s Nate Dussel rounding out the top five.
The balance of the top ten included Texas shoe John Ricketts, the Ohio duo of John Ivy and Bobby Clark, URSS champion Jake Bubak of Colorado and Fort Worth’s Kevin Ramey.
Sessums topped a total of 599 drivers that earned points in the 470 events that awarded points toward this year’s 305 Sprint Car Power Rankings presented by Dodge City Raceway Park.

The 305 Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410s, Keizer Wheels Non-Wing 410s, Rod End Supply Winged 360s, Beaver Stripes Non-Wing 360s and Downforce Designs Midgets. Final standings for those divisions will be released in the coming weeks.
