Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 5, 2015) – Tyson Hall had a solid outing at the River Spirit Expo Center last weekend during the 30th annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout.

“It was a pretty decent weekend,” he said. “We loaded the cars up without anything tore up. There’s a lot of luck on that deal. The track changes so much. Both the cars were really quick. We just had a little bad luck and that’ll end your night at the Shootout.”

Hall competed in four classes – outlaw winged and “A” class winged for Tony Batt and outlaw nonwing and “A” class nonwing for Jody Pressure – during the four-day micro sprint event.

The event started strong for Hall, who powered to heat race victories in both outlaw classes and the “A” class winged division. He also won his outlaw nonwing qualifier, which locked him into the main event.

However, the team missed the setup during that feature. After starting on the inside of the seventh row and moving forward in the early laps, Hall faded during the final stages of the main event as he finished 20th.

“We just missed the setup completely,” he said. “We tried some stuff and it was either going to work or not work and it didn’t. We had it way too tight. Once the green flag dropped we went forward a little, but it got worse as the race went on.”

Unfortunately, electrical issues plagued the winged cars on the final day. Hall ended 14th in the Last Chance Qualifier for the “A” class winged division and he was unable to finish the outlaw winged B Main after starting on the pole.

“We still haven’t figured it out,” he said. “We have to take it to a dyno and start changing stuff out.”

Hall also finished seventh in an “A” class nonwing B Main to narrowly miss advancing.

He will return to competition inside the River Spirit Expo Center Jan. 13-17 for the 29th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals.
